Richie Palacious went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs to lead the Cardinals past Pittsburgh Wednesday, 6-4. Nolan Arenado had two hits and two RBI as the St. Louis will have the day off today.

Four Kansas City pitchers held Oakland to only two hits as the Royals shutout the A’s on Wednesday afternoon, 4-0 after losing Tuesday night, 5-4. The Royals have the day off today.

Pittsburgh scored five runs in the 5th inning and beat the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday, 6-3. Richie Palacious homered for St. Louis who will try to salvage a win against the Pirates this morning starting at 10:40 on KSMO Radio.

Brent Rooker’s two-run homer in the bottom of the 9th inning Monday gave the Oakland A’s a 6-4 win over Kansas City. On Tuesday, Oakland won, 5-4 and go for the series sweep this afternoon in Oakland.

Joshua Palacios had a three-run homer and single driving in five runs as Pittsburgh blasted rookie starter, Drew Rom for eight runs as the Pitates beat the Cardinals, 11-1. The Cards and Pirates play tonight at 5:10 on KSMO Radio.

St. Louis had 15 hits Sunday and tonight begin a three-game series at Pittsburgh against the Pirates starting at 5:10 on KSMO.

Jordan Lyles of Kansas City threw only 92 pitches finishing a complete eight inning outing allowing two earned runs, but a Royals error allows two runs to score and the Chicago Cubs beat the Royals, 4-3. Kansas City will be in Oakland to face the A’s tonight.

The Salem Football Tigers will participating in the Sullivan Jamboree tonight starting at 7:00. Teams in the jamboree include Sullivan, St. James, Herculaneum, Cuba, Salem and Jefferson R-7. The public is welcome to attend!

Pete Alonzo hit a two-run homer and Tim LeCastro hit a pinch-hit homer as the New York Mets beat St. Louis Thursday, 4-2. The two teams play again tonight at 6:20 on KSMO.

Julio Rodriguez went 5-5 with a homer and five RBI as Seattle beat Kansas City Thursday, 6-4. The Royals play the Chicago Cubs today.

The Oakland A’s scored four runs in the 1st inning and went on to shutout the Cardinals, 8-0 Wednesday night. St. Louis begins a four-game set with the NY Mets tonight at 5:20 on KSMO.

Julio Rodriguez’ second RBI single proved to be the game winner as Seattle beat Kansas City, 6-5. The two teams play this afternoon in Kansas City at Kaufmann Stadium.

Nolan Arenado had four hits, plus a two-run homer, and on defense he made a barehanded play. The St. Louis Cardinal’s beat The Oakland Athletics 6-2. The Cards will play game three tonight starting with the pregame on KSMO at 4:50.

The Salem Park and Recreation Department is holding registration for flag football and cheer leading now through August 31st. The cost is $35 for flag football which includes a shirt while the cost for cheer leading is $45 which includes a shirt and pom poms. The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the New Orleans Saints Sunday 26-24 in their first preseason game. They will travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals on Saturday.

Tommy Edman hit two home runs and drove in three RBIs in the Cardinals’ 5-4 win over the Royals on Saturday. Friday night the Cards lost to the Kansas City Royals 12-8. The Cardinals will start a 3-game series tonight against the Oakland Athletics. Starting with the pregame show at 5:50 on KSMO Radio.

Matthew Liberatore struck out seven across eight innings in his start against the Rays. Andrew Knizner slugged a two-run homer to left-center field to help the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 yesterday.

The Boston Red Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 2-0. The Cardinals face Kansas City tonight at 6:15 and Saturday at 5:15 on KSMO. There is no game scheduled for Sunday.
