Congratulations to the Salem Middle School Girls Basketball Team for winning 1st Place in the Oak Hill Tournament by defeating Phelps County Friday night, 36-26!
The Salem Blue and White night for basketball will be tonight at the high school gym. The middle school teams will play as well as the varsity/JV girls scrimmage at about 7:15 and the varsity/JV boys scrimmage near 8:00.
Sean East II had 20 points and Noah Carter added 15 more as the Missouri Tigers beat SIU-Edwardsville, 68-50 Monday night. Missouri improves to 2-1 and will play at Minnesota Thursday night at 7:30.
The St. Louis Blues will host the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio AM 1340 and 95.7 FM.

Last week, Salem Lady Volleyball player Emily Strange was named to the Class 3, District 9 All-District Volleyball 2nd Team. Congratulations Emily!!
The Missouri Basketball Tigers led at half by seven, but the Memphis Tigers dominated the second half and outscored Missouri, 44-22 en route to a 70-55 win over Missouri Friday night. Missouri falls to 1-1 and will host SIU-Edwardsville tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
Brayden Schenn and Pavel Buchnevich each scored a hat trick Saturday as the St. Louis Blues beat the Colorado Avalanche in Denver Saturday night, 8-2. It was the first time this has happened since 1986. The win was also Coach Craig Berube’s 200th win as the St. Louis Blues head coach. Buchnevich became the first Blues player ever to score two shorthanded goals and a power play tally for a hat trick. The blues will host the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night at 6;30 on KSMO Radio.
Former St. Louis Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock was part of the 2023 NHL Hall of Fame inductee class Friday afternoon in Toronto. Also enshrined Friday was former St. Louis Blues forward Pierre Turgeon who played with the Blues four years and compiled 281 points and 109 goals in that time.
Cody Schrader ran the ball 35 times for 205 yards and a touchdown, and caught five passes for 116 yards as the Missouri Tigers beat the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday, 36-7. Brady Cook threw for a touchdown and ran for another as the Tigers improve to 8-2 on the year and 4-2 in the SEC. It will be Senior Night Saturday night when the Tigers play Florida Saturday at 6:30.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will battle in a rematch of the Super Bowl tonight in Kansas City at 7:15. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year, 38-35. Kansas City enters the game with a 7-2 record while Philadelphia is 8-1 on the year.

Last Saturday at the Class 3 State Cross Country meeting Columbia, Salem’s Alex Diehl came in 30th with his fastest time ever of 16 minutes and 38 seconds! Congratulations to Alex on getting All-State!
Two Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers were named to the All-SCA Conference teams. Emily Strange was named to the All-SCA Conference 2nd Team and Reagan Dubois as named to the All-SCA Honorable Mention Team. Congratulations girls!
Robert Thomas and Oskar Sunqvist each scored a goal as St. Louis beat Arizona Thursday, 2-1. The Blues will be in Colorado Saturday night to play the Avalanche at 7:30 on KSMO Radio.

The City of Salem Youth League Basketball and Cheerleading are accepting late signups for boys & girls in 1st through the 6th grades. The cost for basketball is $45 and for cheerleading, it is $55 which includes the late fee. The last day to register will be Monday, November 13th. Practices will begin in December and games will be held in January. The St. Louis Blues continue their four-game home stand tonight as they will host the Winnipeg Jets at 6:30 on KSMO AM 1340 and FM 95.7. The Blues have won their last two straight games and are in 4th place in the Central Division, a point behind Winnipeg.
Sean East II scored 21 points while Nick Honor and Tamar Bates each netted 18 points as the Missouri Basketball Tigers beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday night, 101-79. Newcomer Kevin Hayes scored two goals Friday night as the St. Louis Blues beat the Philadelphia Flyers in St. Louis, 4-1. Jake Neighbours and Robert Thomas also scored for St. Louis who completed the weekend sweep with a 6-3 win over Montreal Saturday night. Six different Blues scored in that game with Jordan Kyrou finishing with a goal and two assists. The Blues will host the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night at 6:30 on KSMO AM 1340 and FM 95.7.
The Missouri Football Tigers battled Georgia toe-to-toe on Saturday, but two fourth quarter interceptions thrown by quarterback Brady Cook ended the Missouri hopes for an upset as they fell to the Bulldogs, 31-20. Cody Schrader had 22 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown in the loss as Missouri falls to 7-2. They will host Tennessee Saturday at 2:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins Sunday on a game played in Germany, 21-14. Patrick Mahomes was 20 of 30 for 185 yards and two touchdowns as the Chiefs led 21-0 after the 1st half, then held on for the win. The Chiefs will host Philadelphia next Monday night.

The game will be delayed one hour on KSMO Radio due to the Missouri Football game and wil start with the pregame show at 6:30. You can hear both games on KSMO AM 1340 and FM 95.7.

In the District Cross Country meet held on Saturday at Lamar, Alex Diehl finished 5th with a time of 17 minutes and 7 seconds. Diehl will be advancing to state and will run at 9:00 this Saturday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia. Good luck Alex!!
