The Salem Boys Basketball Team beat Conway Wednesday at the Cabool Holiday Tournament, 68-59. The Tigers are now 5-5 on the year. They will play the Summersville Wildcats at 1:30 today at Cabool.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will play this morning against Van Buren at 11:30 in the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament. Salem is to 2-9 on the year.

Marco Scandella and Jake Neighbours scored for St. Louis as the Blues defeated Dallas, 2-1 Wednesday. The Blues will host Colorado Friday night, but the game will not be heard on KSMO because of the airing of the Cotton Bowl at 7:00 Friday featuring Missouri and Ohio State.

The Salem Boys Basketball Team lost to Alton at the Cabool Holiday Tournament Tuesday night, 57-53. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 4-5 on the year. They will play Conway at noon today at Cabool.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers lost to Norwood Tuesday at the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament, 70-28 to fall to 2-9 on the year. Due to a quirk in the brackets, the Lady Tigers will be off today and play again at 11:30 Thursday morning.

The St. Louis Blues host the Dallas Stars tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

Jordan Kyrou scored two goals as the St. Louis Blues rallied from three goals down in the 3rd period and scored five straight times beat Chicago Saturday, 7-5. Justin Faulk scored the game winner as the Blues host Dallas Wednesday night at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Fighting Illini came out firing on all cylinders Friday night and jumper out to a 25-point halftime lead in the “Bragging Rights” game Friday night as the beat Missouri, 97-73. Missouri is now 7-5 on the year and have lost three straight games. They will play Central Arkansas Saturday at 1:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Las Vegas Raiders scored on a Kansas City fumble, then seven seconds later scored on an interception return as they upset the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, 20-14. The Chiefs fall to 9-6 on the year and are 2-4 in their last six games. They will play Cincinnati Sunday.

Pavel Buchnevich scored twice while Robert Thomas had three assists as the St. Louis Blues beat the Florida Panthers Thursday, 4-1. The Blues will host the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday night at 6:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders at noon on Christmas Day. The Chiefs are 9-5 on the year and have a two game lead in the American Conference Central Division over Denver.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tiger teams swept Sullivan Tuesday night as the freshman won, 49-36; the JV won by the score of 58-27, and the varsity beat the Eagles, 50-33. The Salem Boys varsity will be off until December 26th when they play Alton at the Cabool Tournament at 4:30.

The Bunker Lady Eagles defeated Viburnum Monday night by the score of 57-22. Kinsey Barton scored 25 points to lead the Eagles.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tiger teams were swept Friday at Camdenton as the Freshman team lost 51-30, the JV lost 52-46, and the varsity fell by the score of 58-48. Haiden Sanders led the Varsity Tigers with 11 points followed by Landon Richter and Kaiden Gately who each scored ten points. The Salem Freshman fall to 3-4, the JV are now 6-1 and the Varsity Tigers are 3-4. All three teams will be at Sullivan Tuesday starting with the Freshman game at 4:00, the JV will follow with the varsity contest beginning close to 6:30. Tonight at the Bunker High School Gym, the Eagles will be hosting a tribute to Mel Ritter who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. Ritter was big part of Bunker sports scene and community for years. The tribute will be after the boys JV game and before the Lady Eagles Varsity game with Viburnum. The Missouri Basketball Tigers fell to Seton Hall Sunday, 93-87 in Kansas City to fall to 7-4 on the year. Tamar Bates led Missouri with 22 points. The Tigers will play Illinois Friday night at 7:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New England Patriots Sunday, 27-17 to go to 9-5 on the year. Patrick Mahomes was 27 of 37 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Chiefs will play the Las Vegas Raiders Christmas Day.

Robert Thomas scored two goals and added an assist as the St. Louis Blues beat the Ottawa Senators Thursday night, 4-2. With the win, the Blues snapped a four-game losing streak. Pavel Buchnevich and Brendon Saad scored for St. Louis. The win was the first NHL win for new coach Drew Bannister. The Blues will play Dallas Saturday night at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

After taking the week off for finals, the Missouri Basketball Tigers will be taking on Seton Hall Sunday afternoon at 3:30. The Tigers enter the game with an 8-3 record. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

Following Tuesday’s game, the Blues relieved Craig Berube of his coaching duties and named Springfield Thunderbirds head coach Drew Bannister as interim head coach. He will debut tonight against Ottawa at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals finalized a three-year, $45 million contract with right-handed starter Seth Lugo and a two-year deal with right-handed reliever Chris Stratton Wednesday. That comes on the heels of the Royals signing lefty reliever Will Smith to a one-year, $5 million deal on Monday.
