Salem High School Boys Basketball Coach Jared Patterson will be holding a Boys Youth Basketball Camp for children going into 6th grade through the 12th grade. The camps will begin on Tuesday, June 4th through Thursday, the 6th at the Salem High School Gym. The 6th graders through 8th graders camp will be from 4:00 until 5:45 followed by the 9th through 12th grade camp from 6:00 until 8:00. The cost is $30 per child and each camper will get a T-shirt. Signups for the camp will be due by June 4th. For more information or to get a signup sheet, call Coach Jared Patterson at 573-247-9972 or e-mail jared.patterson@salemr80.org. Children can pick up the signup sheets at Salem Middle School or the Salem High School. Signup sheets will also be available at the Salem Community Center @The Armory.
The Cardinals hosted the Baltimore Orioles yesterday and after a long rain delay the game was suspended. They will resume yesterday’s 1-1 tie game today at 11:15 and then play game 2 aproximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 1. Tune into KSMO 1340 AM or 95.7 FM for both Cardinal games.
The Royals beat the Tigers yesterday by a score of 10-3. They play again this afternoon at 1:10 to finish up the series they currently lead 3-0.

Salem Lady Tiger Basketball Coach Cody Woody will be holding a Youth Salem Lady Tiger Basketball Camp at the Salem High School from June10th through the 13th. The cost for the camp is $30 per athlete and each girl will receive a camp T-shirt. The morning camp for the 3rd through 5th grade girls will be held from 11:00 to 12:00; the camp for the 6th through 8th grade girls will be from 9:30 until 10:30; and the camp for girls in 9th through the 12th grade will be from 8:00 until 9:30. Contact Coach Woody to get a camp form to fill out at cody.woody@salemr80.org. Please include the camp fee (checks can be made out to Cody Woody) when girls bring their completed form to the first day of camp at the high school gym.
Michael Siani hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 6-3 win over Baltimore Monday night. Sonny Gray got the win for St. Louis who play Baltimore again tonight at 5:50 on KSMO.
Kansas City scored six runs in the 6th inning and came back to beat Detroit Monday night, 8-3. The Royals play the Tigers again tonight.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell to Boston Sunday, 11-3, but won two of the three games this weekend getting 14 hits in each of those games. They will begin a three-game series with Orioles of Baltimore tonight at 5:50 on KSMO.
The Kansas City Royals swept the Oakland A’s this weekend wining yesterday, 8-4. The Royals have won three straight and host the Detroit Tigers tonight Kaufmann Stadium.

A Boys Youth Basketball Camp for children going into kindergarten through the 5th grade will be held Tuesday, May 28th through Thursday, May 30th at the Salem Upper Elementary Gym. The Kindergarteners through 2nd graders camp will be from 4:00 until 5:00 followed by the 3rd through 5th grade camp from 5:30 until 7:00. The St. Louis Cardinals had the day off and will begin a three-game series with Boston tonight at Busch Stadium. The game tonight will be at 6:20, Saturday night at 5:20 and Sunday’s game start time has been changed to 12:05 due a new Major League Baseball deal with Roku. All the games can be heard on KSMO Radio.
The Kansas City Royals begin a three game series at Kaufmann Stadium tonight against the Oakland Athletics. The Royals are in second place 1.5 games behind Cleveland as of Friday.

Chase Weirich struck out the first nine Salem Tigers he faced to help lead the Owensville Dutchmen to a 5-1 win over Salem Wednesday night in District play. Weirich went 6 2/3rds innings and finished with 12 strikeouts and gave up only four hits. Trethan Richter had a two hits for Salem and Kaiden Dubois drove in the only Salem run. The Tigers finished the season with a 16-5 record.
The LA Angels of Anaheim scored four 1st inning runs and never looked back as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, 7-2. St. Louis has the day off today before starting a three game series at home with Boston Friday.
The Kansas City Royals lost to the Seattle Mariners Wednesday, 4-2 as Seattle took the series, two games to one. The Royals will also be off today before starting a three game series at home with Oakland.

Alec Burleson homered and finished with three hits and two Rbi, while Pedro Pages double home three runs as the St. Louis Cardinals hung on and beat the LA Angels of Anaheim, 7-6 Tuesday night. Sonny Gray got the win to improve to 5-2. The Cards and Angels play tonight at 7:10 on KSMO or immediately after Salem Tiger Baseball.
Nelson Velázquez hit a seventh inning three-run homer as the Kansas City Royals rallied to beat the Seattle Mariners Tuesday, 4-2. Michael Wacha got the win for the Royals who play the Mariners this afternoon in Seattle in the rubber game of the three game series.

Paul Goldschmidt homered and singled in a run, and Michael Siani had two hits and the game winning RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals snapped their seven-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Milwaukee Sunday. Kansas City won three of four games from the LA Angels of Anaheim, winning Sunday by the score of 4-2. Seth Lugo went eight innings and struck out 12 for the Royals who will start a three game series in Seattle tonight.

The Salem Boys Baseball Tigers beat the Willow Springs Bears Thursday, 12-2 in five innings. Kaiden Dubois had three hits and three RBI for Salem while Kash Howard and Haiden Sanders each had two hits. Salem finished the regular season with a 16-4 record. The Tigers play the winner of the Cuba/Owensville game on Monday at St. Clair in District Play at 6:00.
Good luck to these Salem Tigers in the Sectional Track meet this Saturday at Mountain Grove: Kayden Gately, Evan Mendenhall, Kash Howard and Alex Diehl.
Sunny Gray gave up six runs over five innings as St. Louis lost to Milwaukee Thursday, 7-1. The Cards and Brewers play tonight at 6:15 on KSMO Radio.
The Royal’s Dairon Blanco, went 3-for-3 with a home run, a bunt single, a double, a walk, two stolen bases and four runs scored in Kansas City’s 10-4 series-opening win over the Angels at Angel Stadium. Kansas City will be in Anaheim against the LA Angels tonight.

It will be the final game of he regular season before the Tigers play the winner of the Cuba/Oensville game on Monday at St. Clair in District Play. Should the game be rained out, the Senior Activities will still be held starting on the field at 5:30.

Brady Singer went 5 1/3rd innings of one run ball, Bobby Witt Jr homered and the Kansas City Royals beat the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday, 6-4. The Royals took two of three from the Brewers. They will start a four game series in Anaheim against the LA Angels tonight.
The St. Louis Blues have announced they have signed Coach Drew Bannister to a two-year contract to make him the 27th head coach in franchise history. This past season, Bannister guided the team to significant improvements in several categories, including a climb from 23rd to 12th in goals-against per game, 31st to 13th in power play, 20th to 13th in penalty kill, and 21st to 16th in the final regular-season standings with a record of 43-33-6.
