The Freshman Lady Tiger basketball game scheduled for tonight has been postponed. A new date has not been set. Per the Athletic Director, Coach Karr, it is likely to be after Christmas.
The Mizzou Basketball Tigers will be on the court this evening at 6:00 against the California Golden Bears. You can stream this game on Fubo or Sling TV with a subscription.

The Mizzou Basketball Tigers played the Lindenwood Lions this past Wednesday. The Tigers outscored the Lions in both halves by ten points and went on to win, 81-61. Their next game will be tomorrow evening at 6:00 against the California Golden Bears. You can stream this game on Fubo or Sling TV with a subscription.
The Mizzou Football Tigers finished up their regular season against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Going into the 4th quarter the Tigers were down by four but took the lead with a Marcus Carroll goal line rushing touchdown. With less than five minutes remaining the Razorbacks would reclaim the lead, 21-20. Two and a half minutes later Brady Cook would score on a 30 yard run, and the Tigers would convert a two point conversion for the 28-21 victory. Mizzou finished the season with a 5-3 conference record and 9-3 overall.
The Kansas City Chiefs played the Las Vegas Raiders Friday afternoon during a special Black Friday game. The Chiefs would be in control for most of the game until, early into the fourth quarter the Raiders scored on a 58 yard pass giving the Raiders their first lead of the game, 17-16. Almost exactly five minutes later, a 32 yard Matthew Wright field goal put the Chiefs back on top 19-17, this would be the final score of the game. The Chiefs are now 11-1 and have clinched a playoff spot. Their next game will be this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Blues played the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday and defeated on of the league’s leading teams with a 3-0 shutout. Dylan Holloway led the Blues with five shots on goal and two scores. Jordan Binnington became the Blues all time leader in wins with 152. On Saturday it would take an extra period to declare a winner as the Blues faced the Philadelphia Flyers. At the end of the second period Jordan Binnington made a save that must be in the running for save of the year by fully extending backwards towards a nearly open goal while Sean Couturier took what seemed to be an easy goal. This all happened moments after an initial save against Travis Konecny. Unfortunately by overtime the Blues would lose to the Flyers, 3-2. Rostin Stockard’s three-pointer with 2.5 seconds left in overtime gave the Licking Wildcats a 72-69 win over the Salem Tigers in the Cat Classic Tuesday night at the SHS Gym. Stockard finished with 31 points on the night for the Wildcats who won the Cat Classic in overtime for the second straight year. Salem was led by Braiden Gapsch with 27 points and Lincoln Thomas added 21 more. The Varsity Tigers fall to 0-2 and will be off until Friday, December 6th when they host Owensville. The Wildcats will begin play in the Frisco League Tournament beginning Saturday.
The Licking Lady Wildcats dominated the first half en route to 33-6 first half lead, then held on to beat the Salem Lady Tigers by the score of 52-22 to win the Lady Cat Classic Tuesday night at the SHS Gym. Allie Hock netted 24 points while Keely Gorman added 15 more points off the bench for the Lady Wildcats. Licking moved to 2-0 on the year and will begin play in the Frisco League Tournament beginning Saturday. Salem is 0-1 on the season and they will be off until December 10th when they travel to Bourbon.
The Salem Lady JV Tigers lost to Licking Tuesday night in their season opener while the JV Boys Basketball Tigers won, 39-22 to go to 2-0 on the year.
The St. Louis Blues will be in New Jersey tonight to face the Devils starting at 5:30 on KSMO. After Thanksgiving, the Blues will be home Saturday to host the Philadelphia Flyers starting at 6:00. That game can be heard on KSMO after Missouri Tiger Football.
The Missouri Football Tigers will host Arkansas Saturday starting at 2:30 on KSMO in their final regular season game. Missouri is 8-3 on the year.
The Missouri Basketball Tigers will host Lindenwood College tonight starting at 5:00. Missouri is 6-1 on the year. The game will NOT be heard on KSMO due to Blues Hockey.

The Salem Varsity Basketball Tigers and Lady Tigers will have their home opener tonight during the Cat Classic against the Licking Wildcats. You can listen to this game on KSMO 1340 AM and 95.7 FM or watch it live on KSMO Media. The scheduled start time for the girls varsity game is 6:30 however due to an abbreviated girl’s JV game it could begin sooner.
The St. Louis Blues played the New York Rangers in their first game of the season with new head coach, Jim Montgomery. New York and St. Louis traded goals early, by the start of the third the game was tied at two. In the third period the Blues would score three goals and defeat the Rangers, 5-2. Of the five goals Zack Bolduc scored two, a snap shot in the 2nd and the 3rd.

The Salem Basketball Tigers started slow at Dixon and fell behind, 37-16 at halftime, then came back strong in the second half to cut the deficit to four points before falling to the Bulldogs, 62-50. Braiden Gapsch had 20 points to lead Salem followed by Lincoln Thomas with 16 more. Salem will play the Licking Wildcats tomorrow night in the “Cat Classic” with the varsity boys game the last game of the evening starting around 7:30. The game will be broadcast on KSMO Radio and video streamed on KSMO Media.
The Salem JV Tigers got out to a quick start at Dixon and held a big halftime lead, then held off the JV Bulldogs as they battled back in the second half to beat Dixon, 57-56. New Assistant Coach Wes Hampton got his first win as the JV Tigers play Licking JV Tuesday starting around 4:35 tomorrow afternoon at the SHS Gym.
The Salem Lady JV Basketball Tigers game with the Licking Lady JV Wildcats will only be two quarters tomorrow and begin at 4:00.
The St. Louis Blues fell to the New York Islanders Saturday night, 3-1. Jake Neighbours had the only St. Louis goal. The Blues will play the New York Rangers at 5:30 tonight on KSMO Radio.
Jim Montgomery was hired as coach of the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. The 55-year-old replaces Drew Bannister, who was relieved of his duties. Montgomery signed a five-year contract with the Blues just five days after he was fired as Boston Bruins coach. Montgomery returns to St. Louis after being an assistant there for two seasons (2020-22) under Craig Berube.
Marcus Carroll scored three rushing touchdowns and Brady Cook returned from his injury to go 15-20 with a touchdown to Luther Burden III as the Missouri Football Tigers beat Mississippi State Saturday, 39-20. Missouri improves to 8-3 on the year and will play Arkansas in their final regular season game Saturday at 4:30.
Caleb Grill scored 25 points Friday night to lead the Missouri Basketball Tigers past Pacific, 91-56.
Yesterday afternoon the Tigers played the Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions. Scoring a season high 112 points the Tigers defeated the Lions, 112-61. Missouri will face Lindenwood College Wednesday night.
The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Carolina to face the Panthers yesterday. The Chiefs led most of the contest until the Panthers tied up the game at 27 with 1:46 left in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs answered with a 31 yard Spencer Shrader field goal as time ran out for the 30-27 victory. The Chiefs prepare to play the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday at 2:00.
Bobby Witt Jr of the Kansas City Royals was recently awarded the MLB Players Alumni Heart & Hustle Award. During this offseason he also won the Gold Glove Award at shortstop for the American League and a Silver Slugger.

The St. Louis Blues hosted the San Jose Sharks last night. Ten seconds into the first period Nathan Walker would score with a wrist shot to put the Blues on the board first. The Sharks’ Alexander Wennberg would score the final goal of regulation with 8.8 seconds left to force overtime and later a shootout where the Blues would claim the 3-2 victory. The Salem Lady Tiger Basketball team will be having a Fish Fry Fundraiser at the Salem High School, this upcoming Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon. Come and support your Salem Tigers during the Big Cat Classic versus the Licking Wildcats and enjoy catfish, hush puppies, fries, boba lemonade, soda, or water. Even if you can’t stay for the game you can pull up curbside and take your dinner home. All proceeds will go to support the basketball booster club.

The St. Louis Blues played the Minnesota Wild last night. Ryan Hartman would snag a goal for Minnesota in the first period giving the Wild an early advantage. In the second period, Scott Perunovich tied up the game with a snap shot. In the third the Blues would be out scored 3-1 and the Wild would win the game, 4-2. Tomorrow the Blues will host the San Jose Sharks. The last time the Blues played the Sharks it was a thrilling game in early October. The Blues came back after being down by 4 goals going into the third, forced overtime and came away with the 5-4 victory. Salem Football Coach Neil Myers released the All-SCA Conference Team selections from this year’s Salem Tiger Football team. Named to the All-SCA Second Team were offensive lineman Grant Case, Tobey Gover on the defensive line and Reuben Hovey as linebacker. Making the All-SCA Conference Honorable Mention team were Evan Mendenhall as a defensive back, Gavin Sapaugh as a defensive lineman and Jayden Ard as an offensive lineman. Congratulations Tigers!!

The St. Louis Blues played a pair of games over the weekend. First, they were in Boston to play the Bruins on Saturday. After one period, the Blues were trailing 2-1 but battled back to tie up the game in the third and force overtime. Brayden Schenn scored his first goal of the night to secure the Blues 3-2 victory. Last night the Blues were in Carolina to play the Hurricanes. The game was tied at one heading into the second period. The Hurricanes would go on to score three unanswered goals and win by a score of 4-1. The Blues play Minnesota tomorrow evening at 7:00. The Mizzou Football Tigers traveled to South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks Saturday. The game was close early until, in the last two minutes of the second quarter, the Gamecocks would score 14 points, holding a 21-6 lead at the half. Mizzou would lead in the second half by a point but with fifteen seconds left a quick shovel pass to Raheim Sanders from LaNorris Sellers that would give the Gamecocks the win 34-30. Mizzou falls to 7-3 on the season and 3-3 in the SEC conference. The Tigers play the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday afternoon at 3:15. Listen to the game live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM.
The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Buffalo yesterday to play the Bills. In a close game throughout it was the Bills handing Kansas City their first defeat of the season by a score of 30-21. Kansas City will play the 3-7 Carolina Panthers next on Sunday at noon on CBS.
