The Salem Basketball Tigers are traveling to Dixon this evening to take on the Bulldogs. The two quarter Freshman game will start at 5:00. A full JV and Varsity game will follow. You can listen to the Varsity game live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM with Tiger Talk at approximately 7:00.
The Mizzou Basketball Tigers will host the Pacific Tigers. Tip off is at 6:30 this afternoon. You can watch the game on ESPN or ESPN+, a subscription or service fee could be required.

The St. Louis Blues hosted the San Jose Sharks last night. Ten seconds into the first period Nathan Walker would score with a wrist shot to put the Blues on the board first. The Sharks’ Alexander Wennberg would score the final goal of regulation with 8.8 seconds left to force overtime and later a shootout where the Blues would claim the 3-2 victory. The Salem Lady Tiger Basketball team will be having a Fish Fry Fundraiser at the Salem High School, this upcoming Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon. Come and support your Salem Tigers during the Big Cat Classic versus the Licking Wildcats and enjoy catfish, hush puppies, fries, boba lemonade, soda, or water. Even if you can’t stay for the game you can pull up curbside and take your dinner home. All proceeds will go to support the basketball booster club.

The St. Louis Blues played the Minnesota Wild last night. Ryan Hartman would snag a goal for Minnesota in the first period giving the Wild an early advantage. In the second period, Scott Perunovich tied up the game with a snap shot. In the third the Blues would be out scored 3-1 and the Wild would win the game, 4-2. Tomorrow the Blues will host the San Jose Sharks. The last time the Blues played the Sharks it was a thrilling game in early October. The Blues came back after being down by 4 goals going into the third, forced overtime and came away with the 5-4 victory. Salem Football Coach Neil Myers released the All-SCA Conference Team selections from this year’s Salem Tiger Football team. Named to the All-SCA Second Team were offensive lineman Grant Case, Tobey Gover on the defensive line and Reuben Hovey as linebacker. Making the All-SCA Conference Honorable Mention team were Evan Mendenhall as a defensive back, Gavin Sapaugh as a defensive lineman and Jayden Ard as an offensive lineman. Congratulations Tigers!!

The St. Louis Blues played a pair of games over the weekend. First, they were in Boston to play the Bruins on Saturday. After one period, the Blues were trailing 2-1 but battled back to tie up the game in the third and force overtime. Brayden Schenn scored his first goal of the night to secure the Blues 3-2 victory. Last night the Blues were in Carolina to play the Hurricanes. The game was tied at one heading into the second period. The Hurricanes would go on to score three unanswered goals and win by a score of 4-1. The Blues play Minnesota tomorrow evening at 7:00. The Mizzou Football Tigers traveled to South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks Saturday. The game was close early until, in the last two minutes of the second quarter, the Gamecocks would score 14 points, holding a 21-6 lead at the half. Mizzou would lead in the second half by a point but with fifteen seconds left a quick shovel pass to Raheim Sanders from LaNorris Sellers that would give the Gamecocks the win 34-30. Mizzou falls to 7-3 on the season and 3-3 in the SEC conference. The Tigers play the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday afternoon at 3:15. Listen to the game live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM.
The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Buffalo yesterday to play the Bills. In a close game throughout it was the Bills handing Kansas City their first defeat of the season by a score of 30-21. Kansas City will play the 3-7 Carolina Panthers next on Sunday at noon on CBS.

The St. Louis Blues played the Buffalo Sabres last night and extended their losing streak with a 4-3 loss. The Blues got on the board first with a Brandon Saad slap shot just a few minutes into the game. The Sabres would battle with a pair of goals in the second and one in the third to tie up the game late and force overtime. Buffalo’s Rasmus Dahlin would score the winning goal.
The Mizzou Basketball Tigers faced off against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils last night and won in dominant fashion, taking home a 111-39 Tiger victory. Mizzou’s next game is a week away against the Pacific Tigers.
The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Buffalo to take on the 8-2 Bills this Sunday afternoon at 3:25. You can watch this game on multiple streaming platforms and CBS will be hosting the televised broadcast.

The St. Louis Blues played the Boston Bruins last night and lost, 3-2. It was a scoreless first period but in the second the Blues would score twice on a power play to lead going into the third. The Mizzou Basketball Tigers played the Eastern Washington Eagles last night and picked up their second win of the season by a score of 84-77. Missouri’s three point game stood out as they were 10 of 18 on the night, accounting for over a third of all Tiger scoring. The Tigers were also more disciplined then the Eagles picking up 12 less fouls and shooting 71% on the free throw line. Mizzou will play the 1-1 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils next at 6:30 Thursday night.

The St. Louis Blues played the Washington Capitals Saturday night and the Capitals scored five goals in the third period giving them the 8-1 victory over the Blues. The Mizzou Football Tigers played the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. After a scoreless first quarter the Sooners took the lead at the half 9-3. The Tigers responded in the 3rd with a Drew Pyne touchdown pass to Theo Wease. Scoring would open up for both teams in the 4th but Missouri would hold on for the 30-23 win with a Zion Young fumble recovery, scoop and score. Next on the schedule for the Tigers are the 6-3 South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.
The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated as they defeated the Denver Broncos 16-14. The Broncos held the lead for the majority of the contest and had a chance to win as time expired but a field goal block by the Kansas City Defense sealed the victory as the Chiefs are now 9-0 traveling to Buffalo next Sunday to take on the 8-2 Bills in a highly anticipated AFC matchup.
