Travis Shaw’s two-out RBI double after Ryan Helsley struck out Daniel Vogelback on a wild pitch allowing him to reach base gave Milwaukee a 2-1 lead before Avisail Garcia homered as the Brewers beat the Cardinals Wednesday, 4-1. The Cards and Brewers wrap up their series this afternoon at 11:45 on KSMO.
The Detroit Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to break a 2-2 tie and send Kansas City to their 10th straight loss, 4-2.
The Tigers go for the sweep this afternoon.
Ville Husso made 30 saves as the St. Louis Blues shutout the Minnesota Wild Wednesday, 4-0. David Perron, Jaden Schwartz, Torey Krug and Ivan Barbashev all scored for St. Louis. The Blues wrap up their regular season tonight at 6:30 against Minnesota on KSMO Radio.
Jack Arthur McFarland of Rolla, age 91, passed away May 12th. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Rolla Lions Club or the Rolla Presbyterian Manor, Good Samaritan Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rolla Chapel of James and Gahr Mortuary.

The Salem Baseball Tigers lost to Union Tuesday, 4-2 to end the regular season with a 9-14 record. They will play Friday at Sullivan against St. James at 5:00 in the district “play-in” game.
The Salem Tennis Team lost to Osage Tuesday, 2 games to 5, taking 2nd in Districts. Tatum Hatridge will play Saturday morning at 10:00 at Cape Notre Dame in individual singles.
Paul Goldschmidt’s two-run homer in the 11th inning followed by Tyler O’Neil’s three-run homer propelled the St. Louis Cardinals to a 6-1 win over Milwaukee Tuesday night. The Cards and Brewers play tonight at 5:45 on KSMO.
Kansas City rallied with three runs in the 8th inning and four in the 9th to tie the game, only to lost to Detroit in the bottom of the 9th inning Tuesday, 8-7. The Royals and Tigers play again tonight.
The St. Louis Blues beat the LA Kings in overtime Monday, 2-1 on Justin Faulk’s goal. Tyler Bozak also scored for the Blues who will finish up the regular season against Minnesota tonight after Cards Baseball on a delayed basis and again Thursday night at 6:30 on KSMO.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Union this afternoon at 4:30 for their final regular season game. That game can heard on KSMO and also online at ksmoradio.com.
At the Salem Baseball Tournament held this past weekend, the All-Tournament team was named and two players from Salem and another from Licking were named. For the Salem Tigers, Baylor Petty and Garrett Connell were named to the team and Malachi Antle from Licking was also honored. Congratulations!
The Class 4, District 9 baseball tournament has been released and Salem will face St. James in the play-in game Thursday at Sullivan starting at 5:00. Salem is seeded 4th in the tournament. The cost of admission is $5.00 per person six years of age and older. The games will also be broadcast on KSMO Radio and audio streamed online at ksmoradio.com.
The Salem Tennis Team beat Licking, 5-0 in District play. They travel to Osage today to play at 2:00 for the District Championship.
The St. Louis Cardinals had the day off Monday. The Cardinals open up a three-game series in Milwaukee this evening against the Brewers. You can hear the game on KSMO at 6:40.
The Kansas City Royals are on the road to begin a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers.

The Tennis Team District tournament will feature Osage, Salem, Licking and Houston. Osage is the number 1 seed with Salem getting the second seed. The higher seeds host the matches. Salem will host Licking today. The finals of the district tournament will be played on Tuesday.
The Salem Golf Districts will be held today while the Salem Track Team will participate in the West Plains Open today at 4:00.
The Salem Baseball Tigers lost to Pacific on Friday, 5-2 in the Salem Tournament and played later in the 3rd Place game where the Tigers beat Sullivan, 6-1. St. Clair won the tournament beating Pacific, 5-2. Salem is now 8-12 on the year. Salem will be at Union Tuesday at 4:30 for their final regular season game.

Nolan Arenado homered and Yadier Molina doubled twice driving in a run as St. Louis swept the three-game series with Colorado, 2-0. Adam
Wainwright pitch 8 1/3 innings and gave up only three hits. The Cardinals will have today off.
The Chicago White Sox swept the Kansas City Royals this weekend, winning Sunday by the score of 9-3. The loss was the 8th straight for the Royals who will have the day off today.
The St. Louis Blues lost to the Vegas Golden Knights Friday in overtime, 4-3, then lost Saturday 4-1. They did clinch the 4th and final playoff spot in the West Division. The Blues will play the LA Kings tonight at 7:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Tigers Tennis team individual district tournament in Osage that was scheduled for Saturday morning at 9:00 has been moved to this morning to avoid incoming weather.
The Tennis Team District tournament will feature Osage, Salem, Licking and Houston. Osage is the number 1 seed with Salem getting the second seed. The higher seeds host the matches. Salem will host Licking on Monday. The finals of the district tournament will be played on Tuesday.

St. Louis Cardinal pitchers gave up 11 walks Thursday afternoon and lost to the New York Mets, 4-1, splitting the four-game series. The Cardinals will host the Colorado Rockies this weekend with games starting at 6:20 Friday, 12:20 on Saturday and 12:20 on Sunday. You can hear all the games on KSMO Radio.
The Kansas City Royals were blanked 4-0 Thursday afternoon as the Cleveland Indians completed a four-game sweep in Kansas City. The Royals will host the Chicago White Sox this weekend.

The Salem Baseball Tigers Tournament has been changed due to the impeding weather on Saturday. Salem will play Licking this morning at 9:00 followed by the St. Clair and Sullivan game at 11:30. The 2:00 game will feature Licking and Pacific with the Waynesville and St. Clair game at 4:30. Friday’s games will begin at 9:00 with the Sullivan and Waynesville game to be followed by the Salem and Pacific game at 11:30. The next three games will be pool placement games starting with the 3rd place game at 2:00, 2nd place game at 4:30 and the 1st place game at 7:00. None of these games will be aired on KSMO.
Paul DeJong hit a two-run homer and Paul Goldschmidt added a solo shot as the Cardinals topped the New York Mets, 4-1. The Cardinals lost the second game, 7-2. The Cards and Mets finish up the series this afternoon with the pre-game starting at starting at 11:20 on KSMO.
The Cleveland Indians scored runs in the top of the 8th and 9th inning and sent Kansas City to their 4th straight loss, 5-4 Wednesday night at Kaufmann Stadium. They will finish up their series at against Cleveland this afternoon.
Troy Terry scored in the shoot-out as the Anaheim Ducks beat the Blues Wednesday, 3-2. The Blues will play the Vegas Golden Knights Friday and Saturday nights on KSMO Radio.

The Alice Lou Craig Municipal Swimming Pool will be opening May 22nd and Family Pool Passes are now available for $160 which is good for four people. Any additional family members can be added for $45 per person. Private Pool Parties can also be booked starting at $150 for an hour. For a pool party during regular hours, the cost is $75 which includes thew use of the pavilion and 10 guests. Aerobics and swim lessons will again be offered this year. The pool will be open Monday through Saturday from noon until 6:00 PM and Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 6:00. The Cardinals and New York Mets game Tuesday at Busch Stadium was postponed due to rain and has been rescheduled as a doubleheader today beginning at 3:20 on KSMO Radio.
The Kansas City Royals built a 3-0 lead Tuesday night at Kaufmann Stadium only to have Cleveland score three runs in the 6th inning to tie the game, then add four more in the 8th inning for a 7-3 come from behind win. The Royals and Indians tangle again tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.
The St. Louis Blues will play Anaheim tonight around 9:45 on KSMO after Cards baseball.

Congratulations to the Salem Boy’s Track Team for winning the SCA Conference Meet Monday!
The Salem Tennis Tigers lost to the School of the Osage Monday, 5 games to 4. Salem finished the year with a 7-4 record.
The Salem Baseball Tigers Tournament will be this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the SHS Baseball Field Complex. The tournament will feature Salem, St. James, Sullivan, Licking, Waynesville, Pacific and Licking in two pools. Salem will play St. Clair at 11:30 Thursday morning and Sullivan at 4:30 Thursday afternoon. These games will NOT be on KSMO.
Harrison Bader homered for the 2nd straight day and Nolan Arenado also homered as St. Louis beat the New York Mets, 6-5. The Cards face the Mets again tonight at 5:50 on KSMO.
The Cleveland Indians snapped a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning Monday, scoring five times on home runs by Eddie Rosario and Josh Naylor, as their bullpen hung on and beat Kansas City Monday night, 8-6. The Royals play Cleveland again tonight.
Robert Bortuzzo’s first goal of the year proved to be the game winner as the St. Louis Blues beat Anaheim Monday night, 3-1. The Blues will play the Ducks Wednesday night around 9:45 on delayed basis because of Card’s baseball on KSMO.

The Salem Baseball Tigers beat Willow Springs Saturday, 10-4. Salem is 7-12 on the year and finish 5-2 in the SCA. The Tigers will hold the Salem Tournament this week starting Thursday at the SHS Baseball Field Complex.
The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will be at Osage today at 4:30.
The Salem Track team will host the SCA Conference meet today at 1:00.
Harrison Bader’s 3-run homer in the 2nd inning was all the Carlos Martinez and the Cardinals needed as St. Louis swept Pittsburgh, winning Sunday 3-0. Martinez pitched eight shutout innings giving up five hits. The Cards play the New York Mets today at 5:50 on KSMO.
Minnesota clubbed the Kansas City Royals Sunday, 12-4 to take two of three games in the series. The Royals will host Cleveland tonight.
The Blues dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to Minnesota Saturday. They will host Anaheim tonight. KSMO will delay that game due to Cards’ baseball game until 9:45 tonight.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Willow Springs on Saturday afternoon at 1:00. Salem is 6-12 on the year and 4-2 in the SCA. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com starting at 12:45 with Tiger Talk and Coach Phillip Karr.
The Salem Tiger Tennis Team beat Mountain Grove Thursday, 9-0. They will be at Houston today at 4:00 and Coach Hubbs said the Osage Tournament on Saturday has been cancelled.
The Salem Track team meet with St. James Thursday was cancelled. Salem will host the SCA Conference meet on Monday at 1:00.
Matt Carpenter hit a three-run homer and Tyler O’Neill scored on a wild pitch in the 10th inning in a 4-3 win for the Cardinals over the Phillies. The Red Birds begin a weekend series in Pittsburgh today at 4:40. Saturday’s game will start at 4:40 and Sunday’s game begins at 11:20 and all three games can be heard on KSMO.
Kansas City had Thursday off and the Royals will be in Minnesota to begin a weekend series with the Twins tonight at Target Field.
Ryan O’Reilly’s overtime goal gave St. Louis a 5-4 win over Minnesota Thursday night. O’Reilly finsihed with two goals in the game. The Blues had goals from Sammy Blais, Tyler Bozak and Marco Scandella. The Blues will be in action again Saturday night against Minnesota at 8:30 on a delayed basis.
