The Salem JV Football Tigers beat Houston Monday night at the SHS Football Field’s Bill Schuchardt Stadium, 38-6. They are 2-0 on the year and they will play next Monday night at Thayer.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Varsity Tigers beat the Cuba Lady Wildcats in a wild five-game set Monday night at Cuba. Cuba won the first contest, 25-16, but Salem responded with a 25-15 win in the second set. The 3rd set went into extra time with Cuba prevailing, 31-29, before the Lady Tigers prevailed with a 25-21 win in the 4th set. In the deciding set, Salem outlasted the Lady Wildcats, 15-11 to get the win and improve to 4-6 on the year. The Lady Tigers will be at Dixon tonight with the varsity match following the JV contest.

The Salem Lady JV Volleyball Tigers fell in two straight sets to Cuba Monday night, 23-25 and 16-25 for their first loss of the year. They are 4-1 on the year, and they will be at Dixon tonight starting at 5:30.

The Bunker Lady Eagles volleyball teams will be at Bismarck tonight starting at 5:00. The Bunker varsity is 1-5 on the season while the JV is 1-1 on the year.

The St. Louis Cardinals hit a pair of singles in the fifth inning, each of which brought home a runner. Those RBIs were just enough to defeat the San Francisco Giants, 2-1. The Cardinals are looking to get back to .500, in game two, live tonight on KSMO Radio with pregame coverage starting at 5:50 and first pitch to follow at 6:45.
