Jake Gover rushed for 109 yards and scored a touchdown on an 85-yard run to help lead the Salem Football Tigers over the Linn Wildcats Friday night, 35-0. Sylis Dubois and Brody Ray each scored two touchdowns for Salem as the Tigers dominated the game after a defensive goal line stand at the three-yard line in the first quarter. Salem finished the night with 350 yards in offense and evened their record at 1-1 on the year. They will host Houston Saturday night at 7:00 to start their SCA Conference schedule at Bill Schuchardt Stadium.

Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will host the Eminence Lady Red Wings tonight at the Salem High School Gym. The JV contest will begin at 5:30 with the varsity match to follow around 6:45. The varsity match will be broadcast live on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and FM 95.7) and streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook, and the KSMO YouTube Page) starting around 6:30 with Tiger Talk and Coach Mackenzie Stoner. Salem enters the match with a 1-1 record while Eminence is 3-1.

The Bunker Lady Volleyball Eagles beat Viburnum last Thursday in three straight sets: 25-23, 25-18 and 25-18. The Bunker JV was also victorious in three sets, winning 25-12, losing 14-25, then winning the third set, 15-3. Bunker will be at Couch tonight to face the Lady Indians starting at 5:00 and there will only be a varsity match.

Last Thursday night at Faurot Field, the 25th ranked Missouri Football Tigers bombed the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions, 54-14. Missouri built a 40-0 halftime lead and cruised to their first win of the year. They will play Kansas this Friday night at 7:00 in Lawrence, Kansas. Both teams are 1-0 going into the contest.

The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants started a three game series last night. While the Giants got out to a 3-0 start, the Cardinals battled back to force extra innings. In the bottom of the eleventh, the Giants responded, defeating the Cardinals, 5-4. Game two will be played tonight with first pitch at 8:45. KSMO Radio will join the game live following Salem Lady Tiger Volleyball.
