Last night the St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks took to the field for game two of their four game series in Busch Stadium. It took nine innings and a former Cardinal, Nolan Arenado, to put up a number other than zero on the scoreboard. The wheels came off for the Cardinals as the Diamondbacks finished the ninth with four runs posted. In the bottom of the ninth an Alec Burleson double kept the Cardinals from being shutout. Then between a Blaze Jordan sacrifice fly and Jimmy Crooks single, the Red Bird rally was on as they closed the gap to one. By the end of the night, the Cardinals ran out of outs and fell, 4-3. Game three is live tonight on KSMO Radio, 1340 AM & 95.7 FM, with pregame at 5:50 and first pitch at 6:45.
