The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Mountain Grove this afternoon in a makeup game from earlier this season which will be the regular season finale for both teams. The varsity game time is set for 4:30. Salem is 7-14 on the year while Mountain Grove is 10-16. This game will NOT be aired on KSMO Radio or KSMO Media.

The Salem Baseball Tigers are seeded 4th in the Class 4, District 3 Tournament which begins Thursday against the 5th seeded St. James Tigers at St. Clair. The winner of that game will face Potosi on Saturday at 2:00 at St. Clair in the semi-final. The district game Thursday will be carried on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) and audio streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, the KSMO Stream Facebook Page and the KSMO YouTube Page) starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Tony Edwards about 4:15. The game will also be carried on MSHSAA.TV for a fee. Admission to the games at St. Clair are $6.00 per person, six years of age and older.

The St. Louis Cardinals’ JJ Wetherholt continues his strong rookie campaign with a good showing yesterday against the Athletics. His home run in the top of the sixth gave the Cardinals the runs needed to top the Athletics, 6-4. Game two is tonight on KSMO Radio with pregame coverage set to start at 7:45, and first pitch will cross home plate at 8:40.
