Alaina Norris threw a three-hit shutout for the Salem Lady Softball Tigers against Willow Springs Monday as Salem beat the Lady Bears, 7-0, to go to 8-4 on the year and 2-2 in the SCA Conference. Raven Gillam went 2 for 2 with three RBI and Bailey Mahurin had a two-run double in the 2nd inning. Alexis White had a bunt RBI single for Salem, who will host the Licking Lady Wildcats this afternoon at 4:30 at the Salem City Park. The Salem Baseball Tigers banged out 13 hits and took advantage of six Cabool errors to beat the Bulldogs Monday in five innings, 16-2. Dannon Berry and Brent Halinar each had three hits, while Hayden Ragsdale had two hits with four RBI to help lead the Tigers. Salem also received two RBI from Sylis Dubois and Kahne Barred. The Tigers improve to 4-6 on the year and 1-2 in the SCA Conference. They will host the Willow Springs Bears Thursday at the SHS Baseball Field Complex at 4:30. The Salem JV Baseball Tigers beat the Cabool JV Monday, 9 to 4, to even their record at 3-3. Nine Salem players had a hit in the game with Ben Land driving in two runs. Seven other Tigers had an RBI in the game. Salem will play Willow Springs Thursday night following the varsity contest at the SHS Baseball Field Complex.

The Salem Tennis Tigers fell to Rolla Monday, 8-1 to fall to 6-2 on the year. The Tennis Tigers will host the Willow Springs Bears at 4:00 this afternoon at the Salem City Park.

The Salem Tigers Golf Team will travel to Cabool for the Cabool Invitational Tournament starting at 4:00 this afternoon.

The Cardinals started a new series with the Cleveland Guardians last night in Busch Stadium. While Jordan Walker hit a solo home run in the sixth and the Cardinals combined for 9 hits they could only manage three runs on the night. The Guardians were able to score 9 runs on 11 hits and took the first game of the series. You can listen to game two live tonight on KSMO Radio following Salem Lady Tiger Softball.

The Blues had six goals scored by six different players last night as they trounced the Minnesota Wild, 6-3. The Blues’ last home game of the season will be against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at 8:30. KSMO Radio will join this game live in-progress following Cardinals baseball.
