The 28-2 Bunker Eagles are in Columbia today and tomorrow as one of the final four teams in the Class 1 Basketball State Tournament! The Eagles will play this morning at 10:00 against the Faith Christian Academy Knights who enter the game with a 25-3 record. Should the Eagles win this game they will move onto the State Championship game tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 against either Kingsville or Brunswick. If they fall to the Knights then Bunker will play in the third-place game tomorrow morning at 10:00. Each of the Bunker games are going to be live streamed on MSHSAA.tv for a fee. Mark Mitchell scored 32 points and had seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the Mizzou Basketball Tigers fell to the Kentucky Wildcats yesterday afternoon 78-72. The Tigers exit the SEC Tournament and will now wait to see where they may be seeded in the NCAA Tournament that is scheduled to begin March 17th.
The MLB Spring Training season is winding down and the St. Louis Cardinals will face the Marlins at 12:10 in the afternoon on KSMO Radio. Should the Bunker Eagles play the 3rd place game, KSMO will join the Cardinals immediately after the Eagle’s game concludes. On Sunday the Cardinals will play the Nationals at 12:05 in the afternoon, also carried live on KSMO Radio.
You could hear a pin drop most of the night at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina while the Blues delivered a 3-1 upset over the Carolina Hurricanes. Jimmy Snuggerud delivered a pair of goals while Pavel Buchnevich finished off the night with an empty net goal. The Blues will host the Edmonton Oilers at 7:00 on KSMO Radio with the pre-skate show starting at 6:30. Then it’s off to Winnipeg to take on the Jets on Sunday at 2:00 in the afternoon.
