Brennen Meloy hit eight 3-pointers and scored 36 points to help lead the Bunker Eagles past the Koshkonong Blue Jays in the Class 1, District 3 semi-final in Bunker Thursday night, 109-42. Chetan Calzado netted 16 points, Braydon Radford scored 15 more, Owen Sanders contributed 13 points and Jayton Skaggs added 10 more for the Eagles. Bunker improves to 25-2 on the year and they will play Couch Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the Class 1, District 3 championship. The Indians defeated Eminence Thursday night at Bunker, 76-69, to advance to the championship game. The championship contest will be audio streamed on KSMO Media and the video stream of the game will be on MSHSAA.TV. There is a paywall that costs $15 plus fees to video stream the game through MSHSAA.TV. Admission to the game Saturday at Bunker is $6.00 for anyone who is six years of age or older.
The Bunker Lady Eagles will battle Delta tonight at 6:00 at the Scott County Central Ronnie Cookson Gym in the Class 1, District 1 Tournament championship. The Delta Ladycats enter the game with a 23-4 record on the year while the Lady Eagles are 24-3. The game will be audio streamed on KSMO Media which includes ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook Page and the KSMO YouTube Page. There is no charge to audio stream the game. Admission to the game tonight is $6.00 for anyone six years of age and older.
The Blues, fresh off the Olympic break, had a night against the Seattle Kraken. Dylan Holloway couldn’t be denied as he put five shots on goal, three of which hit the back of the net, earning him a hat trick. He also assisted on another goal made by teammate Pius Suter. Jordan Kyrou rounded out the scoring for the Blues as they flew past the Kraken, 5-1. The Blues have a pair of games over the weekend. Tomorrow they’ll play the New Jersey Devils which you can hear a delayed broadcast on KSMO Radio, at 6:00 in the evening following the St. Louis Cardinals game. Then tune back in on Sunday and listen to their game against the Minnesota Wild live at 3:30.
Spring Training continues for the St. Louis Cardinals who are 4-2 in the preseason so far.
