Nate Bray went 3-3 and drove in three runs, while Reese Dodson went 2-2 and scored four times to lead the Salem Tigers to a 12-2 win over Thayer Wednesday in six innings. Three Salem pitchers combined to allow only one Thayer hit in the game. Salem is now 4-2 in the SCA Conference and 6-8 overall. The Salem Baseball Tigers will play in the Russellville Tournament this weekend where the Tigers will play Bloomfield and Osage in their division before playing a third game Saturday night against the other division.

The Salem Tennis team will be at Mountain Grove this afternoon starting at 4:00.

There will be a Salem Girls Basketball Team Trivia Night and silent auction fundraiser this Friday night at 6:30 at the Upper Elementary School. The cost is $100 per table and the winning team gets $200. Marcell Ozuna hit a tiebreaking two-run single and Michael Wacha won his fourth straight start as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the New York Mets 9-1 on Wednesday night. The Cardinals face the Mets this afternoon at 12:15 on KSMO Radio. The pre-game show begins at 11:20.

Jhoulys Chacin efficiently mowed through the Kansas City lineup, Milwaukee manufactured four runs in the fourth inning and the Brewers went on to beat the Royals 6-2 on Wednesday night for their eighth consecutive victory. The Royals and Brewers play tonight in Kansas City at 7:15.
