Eleven Salem Lady Tigers scored points Thursday night against the Cabool Lady Bulldogs as Salem beat Cabool, 61-33 at Cabool. Paisley May led the way for Salem with 19 points as they improve to 7-6 on the year and 3-0 in the SCA Conference. The Lady Tigers will be off until next Thursday night when they travel to Dixon.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will host the Ava Bears tonight starting at 6:00 with the JV game with the varsity match to follow. Tonight is the SCA Conference opener for both teams as well as the Salem Basketball Homecoming 2026. Salem enters the game with a 9-5 record while Ava is 6-7. The varsity game can be heard on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) and video streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, KSMO Steam Facebook Page, Twitch page, and the KSMO YouTube Page) starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Jared Patterson around 7:25.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will play Waynesville Monday night at 5:00 in the first round of the St. James Tournament. Salem lost

to Waynesville earlier this season by the score of 55-43. The winner of this game will play Blair Oaks Thursday night at 6:30 at St. James while the loser will draw a bye and play in the consolation championship Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at St. James.

Congratulations to Bunker Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Rod Gorman on getting his 700th coaching win last Saturday when Bunker beat Mountain Grove, 53-52. Congratulations Coach Gorman on a fine career achievement!!!

The Bunker Lady Eagles with face St. Francis Borgia tonight at the Union Girls Tournament and the Bunker Boys will play Higbee in the Mid-Missouri Invitational by Ramey Basketball. Both Eagle teams are undefeated on the year. 

Seedings for the Black River League Tournament next week have been released, and both the Bunker Girls and Boys varsity teams are seeded 1st and have drawn first round byes. The Bunker JV team was seeded 3rd in the JV BRL Tournament.


The Missouri Basketball Tigers will be at LSU Saturday afternoon starting on KSMO Radio at 2:00 with the pregame show. Missouri is 13-4 on the year and 3-1 in the SEC Conference while LSU is 12-5 on the year, but 0-4 in conference play.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. The game will have a delayed game start time on KSMO Radio of 9:30 following Salem Boys Basketball game. On Sunday the Blues will begin a three game road trip with their first stop in Edmonton to face the Oilers. You can listen to this game live on KSMO Radio with coverage beginning at 6:30.
