The Salem Lady Varsity Volleyball Tigers season came to an end Tuesday night at Cuba as the Lady Wildcats of Cuba beat Salem is three straight sets in the Class 3, District 9 tournament: 21-25, 22-25 and 21-25. The Lady Tigers finished the year with a 11-22-1 record.
The St. Louis Blues took on the Los Angeles Kings last night in the Enterprise Center. In the first period the Kings had twice as many shots on goal as the Blues, however neither team were able to get on the board before the first intermission. In the second Alex Laferriere of the Kings broke the tie with a backhand shot. In the next period a wrist shot goal from Justin Faulk tied the game up at one a piece. After three periods the score would remain forcing overtime. Adrian Kempe scored the winning goal in OT as the Kings defeated the Blues, 2-1.
