The Salem Football Tigers will be at Ava tonight to face the Bears in SCA Conference play. Both teams enter the match with 1-3 records and are 0-2 in conference play. The game will begin at 7:00, but if you can’t make it to the game, tune into KSMO Media for the video stream of the game starting at 6:35 on KMSOradio.com, the KSMO Stream Facebook Page or the KSMO YouTube Page. The Salem Junior Varsity Lady Tigers will participate in the Licking JV Volleyball Tournament tomorrow in Licking.

The Salem Boys Cross Country Team finished 5th overall at Belle Wednesday with Jordin Sherman running a team best 20:59 to finish 23rd individually. Other top finishers for Salem include Nicholas Thies who took 27th with a time of 21:35, and Stetson Mobray who took 34th with a time of 22:28. For the ladies, Zoey Elliott continued her awesome season finishing 1st with her best time of 22:47. Other top finishers for the Lady Tigers at Belle were Danica Garner who came in 25th with a time of 27:30, and Megyn Stagner who finished 26th with a time of 27:48. The Cross Country teams will be at St. James on Tuesday.

The Salem 8th Grade Football Tigers traveled to Mountain View Thursday to face the Liberty Eagles with the Tigers winning by a score of 44-26. The 7th Grade Football Tigers also won over Mountain View-Liberty, 6-0. The Salem 8th graders are 3-0 on the year while the 7th graders are 2-0-1. Salem will host Cabool next Thursday at the SHS Football Field.

The Mizzou Football Tigers will host the UMass Minutemen in a non-conference tilt starting Saturday night at 6:30. Missouri is 4-0 on the year while the Minutemen are 0-3 on the year. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals, who were officially eliminated from the National League playoffs Wednesday night, will be in Chicago to face the Cubs for three afternoon games starting this afternoon at 12:25, Saturday afternoon at 12:25 and Sunday at 1:25. All the games can be heard on KSMO Radio.

After defeating the LA Angels 9-4, the Kansas City Royals will wrap up their regular season this weekend with a three-game set against the A’s of Sacramento.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens Sunday afternoon at 3:25. Both teams enter the contest with a 1-2 record.

The St. Louis Blues continue their preseason with a game Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks. The game will not be heard on KSMO Radio. The Blues are 0-2 in the preseason.
