The Cardinals scored three runs in the first against the San Francisco Giants. In the bottom of the third the Giants scored five runs and followed that inning up with an additional three runs through the sixth. Down five, Ivan Herrera and Nolan Arenado each hit a home run tying up the game to eight a piece. Brendan Donovan made the deciding hit, driving in Victor Scott II. The Cards won, 9-8. The series wraps up tonight on KSMO Radio with coverage scheduled to begin at 7:50, and first pitch at 8:45.
The Kansas City Royals scored eighth runs on fifteen hits last night against the Los Angeles Angels taking the game 8-4. Game two starts tonight at 8:38.
