The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers home opener will be tonight against the Owensville Dutchgirls at the Salem High School Gym starting with the freshman contest at 4:30 followed by the JV contest close to 5:30. The varsity contest will begin around 6:45 to 7:00 and that contest can be heard on KSMO Radio and will be video streamed on KSMO Media starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Madison Satterly. Tuesday, the Salem Lady Tigers fell to the Eminence Lady Redwings in three straight sets: 27-29, 19-25 and 17-25. The JV played only one set at Eminence, and they won: 25-10. The Salem varsity is 1-2 on the year.

The Salem Tigers 7th and 8th grade football team season opener will be at Willow Springs tonight starting at 5:30 with the 7th grade with the 8th grade game to follow near 7:00.

The Salem Cross Country team will be on the road at Willow Springs for a meet today.

The Bunker Lady Volleyball Eagles, coming off a loss to Winona in three straight sets, will be at Arcadia Valley today starting at 5:30 with the JV contest with the varsity match to follow. The Bunker varsity is 1-3 on the year and they have lost two straight matches.

The St. Louis Cardinals were in Seattle last night to finish up their series with the Mariners. Ivan Herrera hit a solo home run early in the first. The Mariners tied the game in the second where the score remained until extra innings. In the bottom of the 13th Seattle hit a two-run home run for the 4-2 walk off victory over the Cards.

The Kansas City Royals pick up a 4-3 win versus the Cleveland Guardians yesterday. The victory puts them in a position to tie the series tonight during game four at 6:15.
