The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers played game two of a three game series last night. The Dodgers batted in a pair of runs in the first with a sacrifice fly and home run. Nolan Gorman responded in the second with a two run home run that tied the game up. The home run theme would continue with Dodgers scoring three more runs by way of distributing souvenirs to their home crowd. Ivan Herrera snapped a single to right field as Brendan Donovan came home brining the Cards within two. However that’s when, in the bottom of the seventh, the Dodgers scored five runs and increasing their lead to seven. Wilson Contreras hit a homer in the eighth but it wasn’t enough to energize the Cards and they fell to the Dodgers, 12-6. With the series tied at one a piece the deciding game will be live today on your hometown radio station KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM. Pregame coverage will begin at 2:15 and first pitch will follow at 3:10.

The Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox continued their series on the east coast yesterday afternoon. Maikel Garcia and Randal Grichuk each had a double and an RBI in the game for the Royals. However, the Red Sox would score six runs on nine hits to take the game 6-2. Boston leads the series 2-0. The Royals are looking to avoid the sweep this evening with first pitch at 6:10.
