The 2025-26 Blues schedule was recently released. Mark your calendars, because the Blues start the season at home on Thursday October 9th by hosting the division rival Minnesota Wild. Later in the season, historic rivalries continue when the team battles the Blackhawks on Wednesday October 15th and again, Monday, December 12th. The Blues are home for ALL of the holidays when the Senators and Mammoth come to town Thanksgiving weekend on November 28th and 29th. Other notable matchups are against the Predators and Sabres on December 27th and 29th. The reigning Stanley Cup champion Panthers visit on Thursday January 29th, and the final regular season home game will be on Tuesday April 14th against the Penguins before the Blues wrap up the season on the road.
The St. Louis Cardinals, who had a 14-14 record in June, have been struggling in the month of July with a 4-10 record entering last night’s game. Looking to turn things around they began a three game series in Colorado playing the 24-75 Rockies. Early on in the game the Rockies scored a pair of runs, getting on the board first. In the top of the fourth a Willson Contreras solo home run started a Cardinals response that accounted for 6 runs on 15 hits, defeating the Rockies, 6-2. Game two will be tonight live on KSMO Radio 1340 AM & 95.7 FM with pregame coverage starting at 6:45 and first pitch at 7:40.
The Kansas City Royals were in Chicago last night to take on the NL Central leading Cubs. The game featured six home runs, four of which were by Royals that allowed them to secure a 12-4 victory. The Royals are looking to keep that momentum going tonight in game two at 7:05.
