The Sullivan Eagles edged the Salem Baseball Tigers Tuesday at Sullivan, 3-2. Corby Ball pitched well going six innings and he gave up three runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one. Kash Howard had a two-out two-run single in the 5th inning for Salem who will host Dora Thursday at 4:30 at the SHS baseball Field Complex. The Tigers are 5-12 on the year.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Ava today at 4:30. The Lady Tigers are 3-3 in the SCA Conference and 6-6 on the year.

The Salem Tennis Tigers will be at Mountain Grove today for the SCA Tournament.

Montauk State Park will be hosting a Senior Citizens Trout Fishing Tournament this Thursday. The tournament will be open to any man or woman who is 60 years of age or older. Two classes will be designated, either fly or bait. Two prizes will be awarded to winners in each class for the heaviest trout and the heaviest stringer of trout. Gift certificates will be presented to the winners upon completion of the tournament. Seniors interested can register at the Dorman L Steelman Lodge. Blake Sabol’s two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning off reliever Ryan Helsley gave San Francisco a 5-4 win over St. Louis Tuesday night. Tommy Edman homered for the Cards who play the Giants tonight at 7:50 on KSMO.

Brady Singer pitched six strong innings as the Kansas City Royals beat Arizona Tuesday night, 5-4. The Royals and Diamondbacks play the rubber game of the series this afternoon.
