The Salem Lady Softball Tigers game against Bourbon was cancelled Friday afternoon due to wet grounds. The Lady Tigers participated in the Mountain Grove Softball Tournament Saturday that was changed to pool play only due to one of the fields not being able to be readied for play. Salem beat Ava in the first game, 10-7; and then defeated Mountain Grove in the second game, 15-9 to win the pool play tournament. In the tournament, Head Coach Phillip Karr earned his 400th career win as a Varsity Head Coach. Congratulations to Coach Karr on achieving this incredible goal. The Lady Tigers will make up the game today at 4:00 that was originally scheduled for March 22nd at Ellington and it will be a varsity game only.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will host the Owensville Dutchmen this afternoon at the Salem SHS Baseball Field Complex at 4:30. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio 1340 AM or 95.7 FM can be watched on the KSMO Stream. Salem enters the game with a 2-2 record.

The Salem Tigers Tennis Team lost to West Plains Thursday, 3 matches to 6. On Friday, The Tigers blanked the Licking Wildcats winning all the matches, 9-0. The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will be home Tuesday at 4:00 to face Houston in their home opener.

The St. Louis Blues Saturday night lost to the Carolina Hurricane, 7 -2. Pavel Buchnevich scored both St. Louis goals. The Blues have now lost five straight games at the Enterprise Center. They play the Vancouver Canucks this evening at 6:30 The game can be heard on KSMO Radio 1340 AM or 95.7 FM after Salem Tiger baseball.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Washington Nationals on Friday, 5 to 4; but then lost to the Florida Marlins on Saturday, 9 to 2 and to the New York Mets Sunday, 7-3. The Cardinals will play the Houston Astros today at 12:10. St. Louis is 5-3 this spring training.

The Kanas City Royals dropped all three games from the weekend: losing 8-4 to the Texas Rangers Friday afternoon; then 10–5 to the LA Dodgers on Saturday and finally a 13-12 loss to the Chicago Cubs Sunday. The Royals after having won their first five games have lost three straight. They will play Cleveland today.
