Pittsburgh scored three goals in the 3rd period and rallied to beat St. Louis Wednesday, 5-3. Jordan Kyrou, Colton Parayko and Brayden Schenn scored for St. Louis in the loss. The Blues will host Washington Friday night.

St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou was named the NHL “First Star of the Week” in the NHL for last week. Kyrou had three goals and four assist for seven points in two games last week including two goals and two assists in the Winter Classic.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will be at Eldon Friday night starting with the 9th grade game at 5:00, the JV game around 6:00 and the varsity game near 7:25. You can hear the varsity game on KSMO Radio starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Bryan Carty. Salem is still looking for their first win of the season.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will be at South Iron on Friday night for a varsity only match beginning at 6:00. Salem enters the game with a 7-6 record and they have lost their last two games.

The Salem Park and Recreation Department will hold a Youth Football Camp at the Salem Community Center@The Armory on Monday, February 7th, Tuesday, February 8th, and Thursday, February 10th. The non-padded camp will be led by Head Salem Tiger Football Coach Bryson Barnes and the Salem Tiger Youth Football staff where campers will learn skills and drills. It is geared toward 1st through 6th graders. Registration is going on now through January 17th at the Salem Community Center@The Armory and online at go.teamsnap. The cost of the camp is $25 and it does include a camp shirt.
