The NHL Expansion Draft for the new Las Vegas Golden Knights will be held tonight and the St. Louis Blues have left available to the draft Kyle Brodziak, Dmitrij Jaskin, Jori Lehtera, Magnus Paajarvi, David Perron, Scottie Upshall, Robert Bortuzzo, Carter Hutton and Nail Yakupov. The Golden Knights will select one player form each team to create their team. That means Las Vegas will take three goaltenders, 14 forwards and nine defensemen with the total salary figure between 60% and 100% of the salary cap.

The St. Louis Cardinals scored seven runs in the top of the 11th inning keyed by a two-run double by Stephen Piscotty, a two run homer by Yadier Molina and a two-run homer by Tommy Pham, to take the opener of a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies 8-1 on Tuesday night. The Cards face the Phillies tonight at 5:10 on KSMO Radio.

Chris Sale gave up four hits and struck out 10 in 8 1/3 innings as the Boston Red Sox breezed to an 8-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night. The Royals will host Boston this afternoon.
