The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers went 0-2-1 in the Sparta High School Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Tigers regular season finale and Senior Night will be tonight when they host the Willow Springs Lady Bears at the SHS Gym. Salem enters the game with a 6-19-2 record. The Salem Lady Softball Tigers placed Rebekah Kirker on the 1st All-District Team in Class 3 for the District 9 tournament. Named to the 2nd All-District Team were Trista Heavin and Brooke Adams for Salem as the Lady Tigers went 1-1 in the tournament. Salem finished the year with a 14-11 record.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Brayden Schenn scored in the shootout Monday afternoon for the St. Louis Blues, who survived a furious third-period comeback by the New York Islanders to earn a 3-2 win at Barclays Center. Tarasenko also scored two second period goals while goaltender Jake Allen stopped 40 of 42 shots. The Blues will stay in New York and face the Rangers tonight with a delayed broadcast at 8:00 on KSMO.
