Congratulations to Baylee Bilyeu for signing her letter of intent with Appalachian State University to participate in Women’s track and field, shot put and disc.

The City of Salem Youth Basketball League for all children in Kindergarten through the 6th grade will be starting play on December 30th and the league will continue on January 6th, 13th, and 20th. Kindergarten through second grade teams will be co-ed and games will be played at the SHS Gym. The registration fee is $25 per player with registration now through this Friday. Late registration will be accepted November 18th through the 30th, but there is a additional $10 late fee. Senior guard Kassius Robertson scored 23 points as Missouri routed Wagner, 99-55 on Monday in Columbia. Missouri freshman forward Jontay Porter, Michael’s less-heralded brother, had 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Senior forward Jordan Barnett added 13 points for the Tigers (2-0), who shot 67.4 from the field and made 12 of 22 from 3-point range. Missouri will be at Utah Thursday night at 7:00 on KSMO Radio.

Kris Versteeg scored the game-winning goal with 5:31 left in the third period as the Calgary Flames skated to a wild 7-4 win over the St. Louis Blues on Monday. The Blues will be in Edmonton Thursday night starting at 9:00 KSMO Radio on a delayed basis after Missouri Basketball.
