Eli Floyd’s 6th inning single drove in Jacob Johnson with the go-ahead run in the 6th inning as the Salem Tigers beat the Potosi Trojans, 6-5 Monday. Salem blew a 5-0 lead in the 3rd inning, but Kory Ramsey set down the last 13 players he faced. Dalton Cook had two hits and two RBI while Ramsey, Lawson Toman and Cody Manthey also had two hits each. Salem is now 16-1 on the year. The Salem Tennis Tigers took 3rd place in the SCA Tournament held Saturday in Salem behind Mountain Grove and Willow Springs. Eric Wood placed 3rd overall in singles competition, while Sam Swindell and Richard Parks placed 3rd overall in doubles.

The Salem Tennis Team defeated Licking, 5-0 Monday in District play and they will play at Mountain Grove today at 4:00 in the District Semi-final.

The Salem Tiger Track Teams will participate in the West Plains Invitational.

Pitcher Carlos Martinez drove in a career-high four runs to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 9-4 victory over the Miami Marlins on Monday night at Marlins Park. The Cards will face the Marlins tonight right after Salem Tiger Baseball.

The Kansas City Royals cruised to a 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Monday night at Tropicana Field. The Royals will face the Rays again tonight.
