The Salem Baseball Tigers regular season finale will be held this afternoon at 4:30 at the SHS Field when they host the Rolla Bulldogs. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. Salem enters the game with a 16-2 record.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will begin District play against the Owensville Dutchmen Friday at 4:30 at Sullivan. Admission to any District game is $5.00 per person. If Salem wins Friday, they will play again Saturday at 4:30 in Sullivan against either Blair Oaks or Sullivan. Salem is seeded 2nd in the District behind Jeff City-Helias.

The Salem Tennis Team’s season came to an end Tuesday at Mountain Grove when they lost to the Panthers, 5 matches to 3. The individual District Tournament will be held this Saturday at Willow Springs.

The Salem Tiger Boys and Girls Basketball 2nd Annual Golf Tournament will be held on June 12th at Spring Creek Golf Club in Salem. Players and business sponsors are needed to help raise money for your Jr. High and High School basketball programs. You must sign up for the tournament by June 9th. Dexter Fowler delivered the go-ahead, pinch-hit RBI for the second game in a row as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Miami Marlins 7-5 on Wednesday night at Marlins Park. The Cardinals will be off today.

Chris Archer threw eight shutout innings and the Tampa Bay Rays cruised to a 12-1 win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field. The Royals play the Rays today in the series finale.
