The Salem Lady Tigers faced top seeded Thayer in the 2nd round of the Family Pharmacy Tournament in Mountain Grove and lost to the Lady Bobcats by the score of 53-31. Salem was led by Baylee Bilyeu with 10 points. The Lady Tigers fell to 3-7 with the loss and will play Willow Springs at 1:30 this afternoon.

Registration for the City of Salem Adult Men’s Basketball League for men 18-years of age and above and no longer in high school is going on now at the Salem Community Center @ The Armory and at the City Administrative offices. The cost per team is $300 and teams can be comprised of as many as 12 players. Signups will continue until this Friday. Teams registering after that date will be charged a $25 late fee. The Nashville Predators got a 2-1 victory Wednesday night over the St. Louis Blues. Vladamir Sabotka scored the only Blues goal. The Blues will be in Dallas Friday night to face the Stars starting at 7:00 on KSMO Radio.

Texas scored two passing touchdowns in the first 11:02 and then turned over the game to its defense and college football’s best punter to beat Missouri 33-16 in the Academy Sports + Outdoor Texas Bowl on Wednesday at NRG Stadium.
