The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will host Licking tonight in the Cat Classic at the SHS Gym sponsored by Town and Country Bank. The JV will play at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. Salem is 2-6 on the year and you can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. The game will be recorded for playback on Fidelity Local 6

Baylee Bilyeu scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as the Salem Lady Tiger beat Cuba, 50-48. Salem is 2-4 on the year and they will play Owensville Friday in Sullivan at the People’s Bank Classic in the Consolation Championship.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Anaheim Ducks tonight at 7:00. KSMO will delay the broadcast of the game until 9:10 due to Salem Tiger Basketball.

After being rejected by Giancarlo Stanton, the St. Louis Cardinals acquired outfielder Marcell Ozuna from the Florida Marlins in exchange for outfielder Magneuris Sierra and pitchers Sandy Alcantara, Zac Gallen and Daniel Castano in a deal that will become official today. Ozuna hit .312 for the Marlins with 37 home runs and 124 RBI’s. Yesterday, the Cardinals officially announced a deal with free-agent reliever Luke Gregerson. The two-year, $11 million contract includes a vesting option. The Cardinals are also in trade talks with the Oakland A’s concerning a trade for outfielder Steve Piscotty.
