Cameron Camden’s 14-yard TD pass to Dawson Wynn in the 3rd quarter proved to be the difference as the Salem Football Tigers defensive hung on and beat the Mountain View-Liberty Eagles Friday night by the score of 14-7. In the second quarter, Camden scored on a 41-year option for the Tigers only other score as their defense for the second straight game forced and recovered five turnovers. Salem is now 5-3 on the year and they will be at Cabool for their regular season finale Friday night.

Defensemen Carl Gunnarsson and Joel Edmundson scored the St. Louis Blues first two goals Saturday night, and Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored as the Blues beat the Dallas Stars, 4-2 even though they were outshot 40-21 in the game. The Blues are 2-0 on the year and they will be New York today to face the Islanders at noon. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio starting at 11:30 with the pre-game show.

Drew Lock threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another as Missouri amassed 568 offensive yards against Kentucky, but couldn’t overcome Benny Snell and a resilient Wildcats squad that downed the Tigers 40-34 in a see-saw game. Missouri is now 1-4 on the year and 0-3 in the SEC Conference. Missouri will be at Georgia Saturday at 6:30.

Alex Smith passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns and engineered a decisive touchdown drive midway through the fourth quarter in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 42-34 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday night at NRG Stadium. Tyrone Hill also returned a punt 82-yards for a score. Kansas City will host the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at 3:25 at Arrowhead Stadium.
