Adam Frazier’s first career walk-off hit Sunday both against reliever Brett Cecil (1-3) lifted the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park to mark the second time in the series the Cardinals lost in the bottom of the 9th inning. Cardinals’ starter Carlos Martinez allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings. Yadier Molina homered for St. Louis who will be at New York to start a four game series with the Mets tonight at 5:15 on KSMO.

Lorenzo Cain singled to drive in the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning as the Kansas City Royals topped the Texas Rangers 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. Ian Kennedy permitted two runs and five hits in 6 2/3 innings for Kansas City. He struck out six, walked one and hit a batter. The Royals will host Detroit tonight.
