The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will host the Ava Lady Bears in SCA play tonight at the SHS Gym. The JV game will be at 6:00 followed by the varsity contest. Salem enters the game with a 6-11 record overall and 1-2 in the SCA Conference. Salem has dropped their last two games. You can hear the varsity game live on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. The game will also be recorded for playback on Fidelity local 6 for playback at later date.

St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo won the passing challenge competition on Saturday night in the NHL Skills Competition during the All-Star weekend. Pietrangelo completed the course in 46.6 seconds, with Eric Staal of the Minnesota Wild in second at 54.6 seconds. He won $25,000 for his effort. Blues center Brayden Schenn finished fifth among the eight skaters, in 1:05. The Blues will be back in action Tuesday night when they host the Montreal Canadiens. Quinndary Weatherspoon scored a team-high 20 points as Mississippi State defeated Missouri 74-62 on Saturday night. Kassius Robertson had 20 points to lead Missouri while Kevin Puryear added 10 points. The Tigers have now lost four of their last five SEC games and they will be at Alabama Tuesday night. Missouri is now 13-8 on the year and are 3-5 in the SEC Conference.
