The Salem Tigers offense committee five fumbles and the McDonald County Mustangs offense took advantage of a tired Salem defense to beat Salem in their home and season opener Friday, 19-6. Cameron Camden scored the lone Tiger touchdown on a 46-year run. Salem will be at Sumner High School Saturday afternoon.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers open their season tonight against the Rolla Lady Bulldogs. New Coach Amanda Walker invites everyone to come out and cheer on the Tigers. The JV game starts at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. You can hear the varsity game on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com.

Brooke Adams two-run single drove in the tying and lead runs in a five-run inning the propelled the Lady Tigers to a 5-3 win over East Carter Friday night. Trista Heavin got the win as the Lady Tigers will be in St. James today at 4:30.

Josh Bell belted a two-run homer in the first and added a two-run single in the third, sparking the Pirates to a 6-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the inaugural MLB Little League Classic. The Cards will have the day off today.

Cheslor Cuthbert homered and drove in three runs and Jorge Bonifacio had three hits, including a double, and scored twice as the Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Indians, 7-4. The Royals will have the day off today.
