The SCA Tennis Meet has been rescheduled for the third time and is scheduled for Saturday, May 6th at 9:00 AM at the Salem City Park. Salem also received the #3 seed in districts and will play Licking at home at 1:00 PM on Monday in the first round.

The Salem Baseball Tigers game at Sullivan scheduled for Thursday was cancelled due to the weather and will not be made up. The Salem Tigers will face Cabool in a makeup game on Saturday at noon at the SHS Field. There will only be a varsity game. The game will Not be heard on KSMO due to scheduling conflicts.

The Middle School SCA Track Meet has been rescheduled for today.

The SMDH Golf Tournament scheduled for today at the Spring Creek Golf Club has been postponed due to the wet grounds and has been rescheduled for June 9th.

The Salem Tigers Men’s Track Team won the SCA Track and Field Championship Tuesday while the Lady Tigers took second, six points out of first place.

The St. Louis Blues will host Nashville in a “must win” game tonight at 7:00. The Blues trail Nashville, 3 games to 1 in the series. If the Blues win, they will play Nashville Sunday at a time to be determined. The game tonight will not be on KSMO Radio.

Milwaukee snapped a lengthy streak of futility Thursday night. The Brewers edged the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4 at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals will be in Atlanta this weekend starting tonight at 5:40 on KSMO Radio.

Derek Holland pitched effectively into the seventh inning, Jose Abreu and Matt Davidson homered and the Chicago White Sox defeated the Kansas City Royals 8-3 on Thursday. Ian Kennedy (0-3) allowed five runs on six hits, including two homers. The Royals will host Cleveland this weekend.
