Jon Arzt pitched a complete game as the Salem Tigers won the makeup game against Cuba yesterday at the Houston Tournament, 4-2. In the second game, Salem scored 11 runs in the 3rd inning en route to a 13-1 win over the Licking Wildcats. Salem is 3-0 in the tournament and will face Houston today at 2:00 in a game moved up in attempt to beat the rain.

Magnus Paajarvi scored a pair of goals to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 victory Thursday night over the Vancouver Canucks. The victory was the fourth in a row and ninth in 10 games for the Blues who held onto third place in the Central Division. Goalie Jake Allen got the win, his seventh in his last eight games. He allowed a total of 10 goals in those eight games. Kyle Brodziak and Alex Pietrangelo also scored for the Blues who will play the Calgary Flames this Saturday at 5:30 on KSMO.

The St. Louis Cardinals scored runs in the 6th and 7th innings to break open a 3-3 tie and went on to beat the Miami Marlins by the score of 5-3. Adam Wainwright went four innings and gave up three runs although only one was earned. Kolten Wong drove in two runs for the Cardinals while Patrick Wisdom went 2-2 and had an RBI. St. Louis will face Miami this Saturday and Sunday at 11:45 on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals were off yesterday and they will be back in action today as they will face the Seattle Mariners in Cactus League play.
