The Salem Football Tigers will host the Mountain Grove Panthers tonight starting at 7:00 at the SHS Football Field. The game is the final regular season home game for Salem and it will be Senior Night. Festivities will be held prior to the game. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Licking Saturday to participate in their tournament. The Lady Tigers enter the tournament with a 6-10-1 record.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers leaky defense committed five errors in the 2nd inning that led to eight unearned Union runs en route to the Lady Wildcats 15-0 win over Salem. The Lady Tigers only had three hits in the game as they fall to 12-7 on the year. They will play in the Rolla Invitational Tournament today and tomorrow before districts start next Wednesday.

The St. Louis Cardinals were eliminated from postseason contention when Leonys Martin leaped at the center-field fence to rob Paul DeJong of a tying home run with two outs in the 11th inning, preserving the Chicago Cubs' 2-1 win over St. Louis on Thursday night. The St. Louis Cardinals will wrap up their regular season with three games against the Milwaukee Brewers starting tonight after Salem Football, Saturday at 2:20 and Sunday at 1:20 on KSMO.

Nicholas Castellanos hit a three-run double in the fifth inning as the Detroit Tigers downed the Kansas City Royals 4-1 on Thursday night. The Royals finish up their regular season with three games against Arizona in Kansas City.
