The Salem Football Tigers will host the Willow Springs Bears tonight in SCA play starting at 7:00 at the SHS Football Field. Salem enters the game with a 2-3 record and 1-2 in the SCA. This is Salem Alumni Weekend and they will have a BBQ prior to the game and hold a bonfire and social event following the game. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. The game will also be recorded for Fidelity Local 6 and air Monday at 7:00 PM.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost to Ava Thursday night at the SHS Gym in three games. Salem won the first game, 28-26, then lost to the Lady Bears 25-21 and 25-13. The JV won in two straight games: 25-20 and 25-23. The Lady Volleyball Tigers are now 5-10-1 on the year and they will be in Bunker tonight.

Dexter Fowler doubled, and Yadier Molina had two RBIs, helping the St. Louis Cardinals complete a three-game sweep with an 8-5 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday night at Great American Ball Park. The St. Louis Cardinals start a three game series with Pittsburgh tonight. You can hear the game following Salem Tiger Football at about 9:15, Saturday at 5:10 & Sunday at 11:40 on KSMO.

Jason Vargas pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings, Melky Cabrera had three hits and an RBI, and the Kansas City Royals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 1-0 on Thursday night. The Royals will face the White Sox this weekend in Chicago.
