Addison Purvis struck out 18 Salem batters and gave up just two hits, plus hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs as the Sullivan Lady Eagles shutout Salem in the Class 3, District 9 semi-final game, 7-0. Sullivan also had a two-run home run in the game by Hannah Cox. Brooke Adams had both Salem hits. The Lady Softball Tigers finished 14-11 on the year.

The Salem Football Tigers will travel to Mountain View to face the Liberty Eagles in SCA play tonight starting at 6:30 with Tiger Talk and Coach Brian McNamee on KSMO radio and ksmoradio.com. Game time will be at 7:00. Salem enters the game with a 4-3 record and winners of their last two games while Mountain View is 3-4, but have won three straight games.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will participate in the Sparta High School Invitational this weekend while the JV will be at the Mountain View JV Invitational.

The Missouri Tigers had last week off and they will be at Kentucky Saturday afternoon at 4:30. Missouri enters the game with a 1-3 record. The game will NOT be heard on KSMO Radio due to the conflict with St. Louis Blues Hockey.

The St. Louis Blues will be hosting the Dallas Stars and their former coach, Ken Hitchcock this Saturday starting at 6:30 on KSMO Radio. The Blues are 1-0 on the season winning Wednesday in Pittsburgh, 5-4 in overtime.
