The Salem Girls Basketball Camp will be held June 5th through the 7th at the Salem Upper Elementary School Gym. Girls entering grades 9 through 12 will be have camp from 3:30 to 5:00 in the afternoon, while girls entering grades 5th through the 8th will have camp from 5:00-6:30 in the evening. Adam Wainwright pitched and batted the St. Louis Cardinals to a 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers for a split of their four-game series. On the mound, Wainwright (6-3) won his sixth consecutive decision. He fired six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out six in a 101-pitch outing. Offensively, Wainwright supplied the only runs required with a two-run homer to left. It was Wainwright’s second homer of the year and 10th of his career. Seung Hwan Oh pitched the ninth for his 13th save in 15 opportunities. The Cards will open a three game series in Chicago today at 12:25, Saturday at 12:25 and Sunday night at 5:30. All three games can be heard on KSMO.

The Kansas City Royals will host the Cleveland Indians this weekend starting with a night game tonight with two day games to follow. The Royals are in last place in the American League Central Division with a 22-30 record and six games behind Cleveland going into this series.
