According to Coach Phillip Karr, the Russellville Baseball Tournament that Salem was to participate in this weekend has been cancelled due to the wet grounds. Salem’s next game will now be the makeup game in Thayer on Tuesday afternoon.

On that day from 6:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night, Country Mart in Salem will donate 10% of your purchase to the Salem High School Baseball Program. This offer is ONLY good at the Salem store. The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will host Houston today at 4:00 at the Salem City Park.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Nashville Predators in Game 2 of the best-of-seven series tonight at 7:00. Nashville leads the series, 1 game to 0. Game 3 will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 from Nashville. The game Sunday can be heard online at ksmoradio.com.

Randal Grichuk tied the game for the Cards with 2 out in the 9th inning with a two-run homer, and Matt Carpenter won the game in the 11th inning with a walk-off grand slam as the Cardinals beat Toronto in the 1st game of a day-night doubleheader, 8-4. In the second game, the St. Louis Cardinals finished off a sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays after scoring in each of the first four innings on Thursday in Busch Stadium. Dexter Fowler homered, and Adam Wainwright picked up his second consecutive win in a 6-4 decision. The Cardinals start a three game series with the Cincinnati Reds tonight at 6:20 on KSMO Radio.

The Royals had the day off Thursday and will try to end their seven game losing streak when they host the Minnesota Twins this weekend.
