The Salem Tigers Track Teams will participate in the St. James Invitational meet today starting at 3:00 at the St. James High School.

The Salem Baseball Tigers game with Thayer that was rescheduled for Wednesday was postponed due to rain and rescheduled for
Tuesday, May 2nd. The time has yet to be determined. The Tigers are scheduled to be in the Russellville Tournament this Friday and Saturday. Salem is 13-1 overall. The weekend tournament games will NOT be carried on KSMO Radio.

The SCA Tennis Meet scheduled for yesterday has been postponed and rescheduled for May 3rd at 10:00 in the morning. Salem is scheduled to be at Mountain Grove today at 4:00.

The City of Salem Youth Baseball/Softball sign-ups are going on now thru May 1st at the Salem Community Center @ the Armory located 1200 West Rolla Road in Salem. All boys and girls ages 4 to 14 can sign-up. The league begins June 5th and the end of season tournament will be single elimination. The cost is $25 per child. Vernon Fiddler’s goal with 5:05 left in the third period broke a tie and gave the Nashville Predators a 4-3 win Wednesday night over the St. Louis Blues in the first game of the second round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Blues and the Predators will square off in Game 2 Friday night starting at 7:00 at Scottrade Center. That game will not be heard on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals baseball game with Toronto last night at Busch Stadium was postponed and rescheduled as a day-night double header today. The first game will be at 12:45 which is the regular scheduled start time with the make up game beginning at 6:15. Both games can be heard on KSMO starting at 11:50 and 5:20, respectively. If you have tickets for Wednesday night’s game, they will be good for the 6:15 game tonight.

The Kansas City Royals have dropped their seventh straight game as they lost to the Chicago White Sox, 5-2. The White Sox scored two runs in the 6th and another in the 7th inning to break open a 2-2 tie. Nate Karns gave up four runs in six innings for KC. The Royals will have the day off today.
