The Salem Baseball Tigers will travel to Thayer today to face the Bobcats in SCA play starting at 3:30 in a makeup game from earlier this year. The Tigers are 5-0 in the SCA and 13-1 overall. If played, you can hear the game on KSMO radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Tigers Track Teams did very well at the Willow Springs Invitational on Monday. Baylee Bilyeu took 1st Place in the Shot Put and also set a new meet record with a distance of 38’3″. She also took 1st Place in discus with a throw of 109’4″. Kirsten Golden captured 1st place in pole vault with a vault of 9 foot even. For the boys, JD Bowling took 1st Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 46’5.50″. He also took 1st place throwing the Javelin 136’8.5″. Dawson Wynn for the Tigers threw the discus 124’11” for 1st place in the Invitational and Logan Ousley took 1st overall in the long jump going 18’3″. Congratulations Tigers! Salem will participate in the St. James Invitational Thursday at 3:30.

The time to signup your team for the adult Co-Ed Kickball League is now. Teams will be playing on Thursdays in May at the Salem City Park in Salem. There is a maximum of 11 players on a team with a minimum of 8. The cost is $125 and all players must be 16 years of age and over. The St. Louis Blues will open up the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with the Nashville Predators tonight at Scottrade Center starting at 6:30 with the pre-game show and 7:00 game time. Due to the St. Louis Cardinal broadcast, the Blues game will be streamed on ksmoradio.com only unless the Cards game is rained out or delayed.

Pitcher Marcus Stroman scored the winning run Tuesday night to give the Toronto Blue Jays a wacky 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals and Blue Jays will play tonight starting at 6:20 on KSMO.

Todd Frazier finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs, and the Chicago White Sox cruised to a 10-5 win over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night. The Royals and White Sox wrap up this series this afternoon at 1:10 in Chicago.
