The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Willow Springs this afternoon at 4:30 to face the Bears in SCA play. Salem is 4-0 in SCA Conference play and 12-1 on the year. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Golf Team will be at Ava this morning at 10:00 of the SCA Golf Tournament while the
Salem Track teams will be at Willow Springs this afternoon at 3:00.

A goal by Magnus Paajarvi with 9:42 left in overtime and another superlative performance by goaltender Jake Allen spurred the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday and into the second round of the playoffs. Vladimir Tarasenko, Alexander Steen and Paul Statsny added goals for the Blues. The Blues won the series, 4 games to 1. They will play Round Two against Nashville.

Mike Leake continued his dominant start to the 2017 season by striking out six batters, as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-4 on Sunday afternoon at Miller Park. Leake had a hit and two RBI for the Cardinals who also got RBI’s from Matt Adams, Eric Fryer and Aledmys Diaz. The Cardinals took 3 of 4 games from Milwaukee and will be off today.

Joey Gallo and Robinson Chirinos hit home runs, and Yu Darvish struck out eight in eight innings, as the Texas Rangers defeated the Kansas City Royals 5-2 on Sunday. Mike Moustakas and Jorge Bonifacio hit homers for the Royals runs. The Royals face the White Sox tonight.
